Might be wrong, but I was under the impression that the N95 8GB still has the same resolution as the original N95? Couldn't help noticing that the active standby screen how has 7 icons horizontally; whereas my N95 only has 6. Odd...
Yes, 240*320.
But screen size is more - 2.8" instead of 2.6"
Do you find that the screen resolution is a little low for the size of the screen? I have the N80 now, and the screen resolution is fantastic! I just worry that the resolution will look too stretched out on this 8GB model.
Any ideas on battery life yet? Any better then original n-95?
The screen res isn't as good as the N80s, but that was a beauty of a screen. It does look better than the N95-1 though.
Can't comment on battery life yet as I'm constantly using it so it's draining more than normal. Going to give it a 'normal day test' soon enough.
Hi, love the review, Nokia really seem to have fixed everything that needed attention in the n95.
I currently use the old n95, and my new n95 8GB arrives on Friday (26th).
Sadly it's from Vodafone so will be running their firmware. I unlocked my current n95 and was hoping you'd have a standard product code.

I just got mine yesterday... I think the screen is much clearer than the N95-1 and it definitely fits an additional shortcut on the standby. It does not appear stretched out at all. I've also noticed overall performance is faster, due to more memory. I'll wait to see if I notice anything else before I post. Cheers!
